ARID · Atmospheric water generators

Drinking water,
pulled from the driest air.

Arid is the atmospheric water generator built for the places that run dry. It draws clean, great-tasting drinking water straight from the air, and keeps producing down to 15% humidity, where condensation machines stall. For homes that need their own water, and for the NGOs and field teams solving it at scale.

The problem

Most machines quit when the air gets dry. Arid doesn't.

Conventional generators chill air until dew forms. That works in humid climates and collapses in exactly the places that run short of water. Arid takes a different path through the same air.

Condensation units
Stall

Below roughly 30% humidity, output falls off a cliff. In a desert, that is most of the year.

Arid + MOF
Keeps going

A metal-organic framework adsorbs water vapor directly, so production continues down to about 15% RH.

The result is a machine that earns its place where water is hardest to find, not just where it is already easy.

How it works

Air goes in. Clean drinking water comes out.

Four steps, no plumbing, no chemistry to manage. The unit handles all of it after a five-minute warm-up.

STEP 01

Pull in air

A quiet intake draws ambient air through a filter, even in dry, dusty, desert conditions.

STEP 02

Capture the water

The metal-organic framework adsorbs water molecules straight from the air, working far below the dew point.

STEP 03

Release and collect

A gentle cycle releases the captured water and collects it inside the unit, ready to be cleaned.

STEP 04

Filter and dispense

Multi-stage filtration brings it to about 20 TDS, then it pours from the top faucet, clean and ready to drink.

For your home

Your home's own water supply.

One Arid unit gives a household a private, renewable source of clean drinking water, straight from the air, with no well, no deliveries, and no plumbing. Here is where it earns its place at home.

Off-grid & rural homes

No municipal line and an unreliable well? Arid makes 10+ liters a day on a standard outlet or solar, so the house has its own water, independent of the grid and the rain.

Well & questionable tap

Hard water, contaminants, or a boil-water advisory. Arid's output measures near 20 TDS, close to distilled, after multi-stage filtration. Water you can trust every day.

Emergency & backup

Storms, outages, and supply disruptions. A unit that keeps producing drinking water when the grid goes down or the shelves go empty. Paired with solar, it just keeps running.

Everyday premium water

Cancel the bottled water and the delivery service. Fresh, great-tasting water on tap from the air. Lower lifetime cost, zero plastic, always on hand.

For NGOs & humanitarian programs

A whole-earth problem.
A water source you can carry.

This is where Arid does the most good. Self-contained, solar-powered units put clean drinking water exactly where pipes, wells, and power do not reach, and your team can leave them behind for lasting local impact.

The leave-behind model

Bring the water with you. Leave it when you go.

On a mission trip, relief deployment, or field program, your team can carry clean-water generation in with them. Set up an Arid unit, produce safe drinking water on day one, and leave the unit with the community when the trip ends. The water keeps coming long after everyone goes home.

Where Arid serves in the field

Refugee & displacement camps

Drinking water for camps and settlements where infrastructure is thin or absent. Units cluster to meet population demand and run on solar.

Disaster & emergency response

When floods, quakes, or storms knock out water systems, Arid produces safe water on site immediately, with no waiting on trucked supply.

Rural clinics & schools

A dependable clean-water source for health posts and schools, improving hygiene and care without piped infrastructure.

Mission trips & outreach

Bring water generation on the trip, serve the community while you are there, and leave the unit behind for lasting impact.

Global markets

Built for the world's driest, thirstiest places.

Designed for low-humidity, water-stressed regions where conventional supply is expensive, unreliable, or simply absent.

Middle East: water security for the Gulf and MENA

Across Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Kuwait, and the wider Gulf, desert humidity is exactly the band where Arid's MOF technology outperforms condensation machines. For villas, remote sites, and government programs, Arid is an on-site alternative to desalination and trucked-in water, solar-ready and built for extreme heat.

The science

Built on Nobel-recognized materials science.

Metal-organic frameworks, the class of porous crystals at the heart of every Arid unit, are the materials breakthrough recognized with the 2025 Nobel Prize in Chemistry. Arid's framework comes from published, patent-free literature, so the chemistry is proven and the technology is ours to manufacture at scale.

Arid is an independent company. The 2025 Nobel recognized the broad field of MOF chemistry. It is not an endorsement of any specific product, including ours.

FAQ

Straight answers.

Yes. That is the whole point. Arid uses a metal-organic framework that adsorbs water molecules rather than chilling air to dew point, so it keeps producing down to roughly 15 to 20% relative humidity, where condensation-based units lose most of their output. Production still scales with humidity and temperature, so very dry days yield less than humid ones.

Factory testing measured output near 20 TDS (total dissolved solids), below the EPA recommended drinking-water guidance and close to distilled. Water passes a multi-stage filter before dispensing. Independent lab certification for your region is part of our pre-sale process.

The two ongoing costs are electricity and the filter core. At typical power rates, all-in water cost lands under 10 cents per liter, and the regenerable filter core runs under $30 per year. Solar operation removes most of the electricity cost entirely.

No. The home unit is plug-and-play. Set it up, plug into a standard outlet or solar, and it produces after a five-minute warm-up. Continuous fill to a storage tank and a hot or cold tap are optional add-on configurations.

The home cabinet is roughly the size of a small office refrigerator and produces 10+ liters of drinking water per day. The commercial unit produces up to 100 liters per day, and units cluster to meet larger site demand.

Either a standard 120V wall outlet or solar, and output is the same on both. Power draw is modest, so pairing the unit with existing home or site solar removes most of the running cost. The commercial unit also supports hybrid grid-plus-solar setups.
